About SnipSnap

A free URL shortener, built by one person who got tired of paywalls on basic link tools.

What SnipSnap is

SnipSnap turns long, ugly URLs into short ones you can actually share out loud. Paste a link, get a short code back, done. Past that, it does the things most free shorteners charge for: custom codes, QR codes, click analytics, folders, link expiry, and password-protected links — all on one dashboard, all free.

The story

I'm Himanshu Mishra, and I built SnipSnap by myself — no team, no funding, no roadmap meetings. Just a link shortener I wanted to exist: fast, a little opinionated about features, and not gated behind a "Pro" plan for things like QR codes or link expiry.

It's free right now, and it's staying free. If that ever changes for some new feature down the line, everything that works today keeps working today.
